Warranty Deed


Know all men by these presents that we Daniel Schlappa and Elisabeth Schlappa husband and wife of Ringgold County and State of Iowa in consideration of the sum of ten Dollars in hand paid by Alice E Keys of Ringgold County State of Iowa do hereby sell and convey unto the said Alice E Keys the following described premises in the County Ringgold to wit lot no (8) eight in the town of Marshall And we do hereby covenant with the said Alice E Keys that we are lawfully seized of said premises that they are free from incumbrance that we have good right and lawful authority to sell the same and we do hereby covenant to warrant and defend the said premises against the claims of all persons whomsoever and the said Elisabeth Schlappa hereby relinquishes her right of Dower in and to the above described premises in witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and sea (sic) this 16th day of September AD 1863.

State of Iowa Ringgold County I do hereby certify that before me a Justice of the peace in and for said county personally appeared the within named Daniel Schlappa and Elisabeth Schalppa husband and wife who are personally known to me to be the identical persons whose names are affixed to the above conveyance as grantors and acknowledged the execution of the same to be their voluntary act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned
Given under my hand this 16th day of September AD 1863
